Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be able to assist
Trailer Mechanic in:
• Performing installation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of defective components on Trailers and drawbars
• Performing preventative maintenance based on predetermined service schedules.
• Checking and rectifying wheel alignment issues.
• Maintaining curtains, rollers, guides and tie downs.
• Attending to vehicle breakdowns
• Maintaining shop tools and equipment in good, safe and clean working order, and reports deficiencies
Personnel Specifications:
• Diploma in AUTOMOTIVE Mechanical Engineering or related qualification
• Must currently be employed as Trailer Mechanic with minimum 5 years work experience on heavy duty trailers
• A broad knowledge and experience of modern commercial trailers including ABS/ EBS, electrical and general servicing
• Must have excellent problem solving, diagnostic and fault finding skills.
• Basic knowledge of human resource management and supervision
