Educate seeks Senior Trainer
Do you want to join a growing, dynamic, and creative team, and contribute to substantial private sector development in Rwanda? We are seeking a Senior Trainer who can play an important role in delivering high quality programming aimed at growing business in Rwanda. The main responsibility will be to continue to develop and deliver cutting edge training programs aimed at entrepreneurs and youth in education. The Senior Trainer will play a highly important role in securing a successful program.
About Educat:
Educat has operated in Rwanda since May 2008 and has been formally registered as an International NGO since April 2009. The vision of Educat is to contribute to poverty reduction through private sector development. We aim to approach this development by unleashing the full potential of the individual via a keen focus on creativity and innovation as driving forces in the creation of new and thriving businesses. Over the last five years, Educat has delivered long and short-term business and organizational development programs and workshops, facilitated conferences, and presented lectures at Rwandan and international universities. Our target group consists of entrepreneurs in different stages of development as well as youth in higher education.
About the job:
The Senior Trainer’s main responsibility will be the development and facilitation of our entrepreneurship development program The REAL Business Accelerator, which will undergo a large scale roll out at the end of 2013. This will include facilitating and coaching entrepreneurs in group and individual sessions, developing and constantly improving training materials, and coordinating and managing the junior trainers. Developing and delivering Educat’s The REAL Entrepreneurship Mindset for students and other organisations will also be an important responsibility.
The Senior Trainer will be responsible for:
-Development and facilitation of training programs
-Individual coaching of entrepreneurs
-Management of junior trainers
-Internal development of Educat staff
-Event Coordination
Desired qualification:
Besides being ambitious, innovative and a natural leader, the ideal Senior Trainer will have the following qualifications and competencies:
-A university degree in a relevant fields such as business or communication
-At least five years’ relevant work experience within civil service or the private sector
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills
-Fluent in spoken and written English; competence in Kinyarwanda and/or French a strong plus.
-Ability and willingness to work weekends and outside of business hours if required
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-Experience starting and/or running a business a strong plus
-Extensive teaching experience
-Previous experience working with social constructionism and systemic thinking a plus

What we offer:
Salary will range from 1.3 million – 1.5 million RWF (gross) and will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. Contracts are on an indefinite basis, and we are looking for people to start ASAP. As part of your personal and professional development you will receive continuous internal training and coaching.
