8. IT SECURITY: Head of Application Security (1) Ref: RDB/ITD/038

Specific tasks and responsibilities
- Develop and implement secure and reliable environment for e-Government and e-Commerce
- Collaborate with Division manager to design and implement the National Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) System
- Manage and secure government critical systems and applications
- Develop and implement application and systems security architecture for government
- Monitor and resolve vulnerabilities of critical government systems and applications
- Implement and develop security systems for critical government systems and applications i.e. firewalls, HIDS/HIPS, Logs, etc
- Ensure consistent availability, disaster recovery and continuity for critical government application and services
- Implement and enforce information security policy
- Ensure all documentation is archived for future reference
- Collaborate with division members to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of government critical information
- Develop and implement data encryption framework for government critical systems and applications
- Perform security patch and upgrade for servers
- Implement and enforce information security policy
- Design and manage Data Center servers security

Job requirements, qualifications and experience
- At minimum an Associate’s Degree, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree, in Computer Science or related discipline
- 4 years of hands on development experience. Java, .NET, C++, C ASP, PHP, etc.….
- Scripting and/or programming experience in one of the following languages: Python, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, C++, C# or JavaStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work shift work and on call rotation
- Good ability to work as part of a team
- Fluency in English
