Job Summary:
 The Project Manager will supervise the project implementation to ensure maximum integration of synergies as projects are implemented.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Project management and coordination:
    Lead and management implementation of urban programs in Kampala.
    Mapping strategic stakeholders and partners for urban programs and potential donors.
    Manage PR and engagements with potential funding agencies such as the private sector, UN agencies and governments.
    Lead in the resource mobilization for urban programming and programs

2. Project monitoring and evaluation:
    Facilitate effective monitoring, documentation and reporting in compliance with agreed standards
    Ensure a functional project M&E system

3. Finance management:
    Manage project finances and assets in line with WV policy
    Budget management and control
    Manage sub granting processes to partners

4. Performance management and supervision:
    Manage, supervise and build capacity of staff in urban project development, management and implementation.
    Monitor and document performance of partners

5. Project development:
    Guide staff in design and development of Annual Operation Plans and budgets
    Review project documents

6. Networking and collaboration:
    Identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other stakeholders in planning and implementation.
    Develop plat forms for sharing information with partners and stakeholders
    Guide and participate in joint campaigns, advocacy initiatives around youth empowerment with partners and stakeholders
    Ensure project advocacy initiatives are implemented in line with WVUs Advocacy agenda

7. Documentation and reporting:
    Timely submission of end of monthly, bi – annual and annual reports
    Documentation and sharing of best/promising practices to strengthen WVU`s institutional memory and learning on urban programming.

Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

 Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
    The applicant should possess a Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work & Social Administration, Economics, Development, Resource Management or related field
    Three or more years experience in working with youth empowerment projects/programs
    Knowledge of M&E, documentation and reporting
    Experience in capacity building for staff and partners and generally working with partners
    Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
    Knowledge of the youth sector and context in Uganda
    Experience with youth-centered advocacy and engagement
    Ability to mainstream gender in project implementation, monitoring, documentation and reporting
    Mature Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities
