Job title: ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER – FISHERIES QUALITY ASSURANCE AND SAFETY

Age: 30 years and above.

Minimum Qualifications and Working Experience:
 Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries or Zoology or Aquatic Biology or Food
Science plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above fields from a recognized University/Institution. Applicants should have at least nine (09) years relevant working experience, there (3) of which should have been gained at the level of Principal Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.
Applicants should have adequate knowledge of regulatory, inspection and related technology of the fishing industry and public financial system, procedures and regulations.

Applicants should have the following key competencies: -
leadership, managerial and planning skills with well developed public relations skills. He/she should be a team player capable of working with the senior management team and with the ability to monitor, coach, develop and motivate subordinates; should have high personal integrity, good oral and writing skills.
