Christian Aid’s essential purpose is to expose the scandal of poverty, to help in practical ways to root it out from the world, and to challenge and change structures and systems that the favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised.
We are partnering with others to end poverty in Africa. At the heart of this vision is transformation of the lives of people who live in poverty, empowering them to have a brighter future.

In 15 countries across the continent, we work with local partners, including church and faith-based organisations, on a wide range of programmes that have a positive impact on the lives of millions. And while we’ve achieved some incredible results, there’s still a lot we can do together. We recognise the important role faith plays as a source of hope and inspiration for millions of people who experience the daily reality of poverty and injustice, and the unique place of faith communities as transformational change agents.

This is why we are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled individual to help drive forward our work with churches. We are looking for a strategic thinker, with a good knowledge of theology and development; someone with strong interpersonal skills who is comfortable communicating to diverse external and internal audiences; someone with solid experience in developing strong working relationships and collaboration with faith-based organisations, including senior church leaders; and someone with the ability to manage people remotely, as you will also be line managing a number of our Country Managers.

We value the contribution each person makes to the success of our organisation. That’s why you can expect a wide range of rewards and benefits and flexibility that will ensure you enjoy a good work/life balance.

Please note CVs will not be accepted and that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
