About Air Uganda:
Air Uganda is Ugandan carrier with its hub at Entebbe International Airport. Air Uganda operates flights to over eight (8) destinations in Africa.  Air Uganda is a member of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) and has been in operation since November 2007. Air Uganda is also a member of Celestair Group, with sister airlines in West Africa: Air Burkina and Air Mali, and in Europe: Meridian Fly. In December 2012, Air Uganda attained the highest safety standard in the airline industry, the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Certification.

Job Summary:
The Line Maintenance Engineer will ensure that all maintenance is required and carried out in line with defect rectification in respect to the design and quality standards with the highest degree of professionalism and safety with the aim of achieving OTP of the fleet .

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    Ensure timely performance releasing the aircraft for service in respect to the flight schedule.
    Verify and validate al incoming parts are in excellent serviceable condition with the relevant documentation in conformity to the Quality CAA rules.
    Ensure proper management of removed parts (reason for removal and correct labeling).
    Perform any other job roles as assigned by the Director, Flight Operations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
    The applicant should hold an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License (B1 or B2)
    At least two years’ airline experience
    Experience in MRO or OEM working within a technical services role.
    Additional Level 3 training course on aircraft in fleet
    Good understanding of aircraft systems engineering and fundamental operating principles
    Good working knowledge of airworthiness regulations and oversight functions.
    Possess excellent communication skills both written and spoken
    Good computer literacy skills i.e. use of PC and web-based applications,
    Possess the ability to perform in a fast paced environment with simultaneously meeting assigned project deadlines with self directed decision making confidence
