About Us:
The Parliamentary Commission of Uganda serves the following functions;
    To appoint, promote and exercise disciplinary control over persons holding public office in Parliament;
    To review the terms and conditions of service, standing orders, training and qualifications  of persons holding office in Parliament;
    To provide a Parliamentary reporting service;
    To provide such other staff and facilities as are required to ensure efficient functioning of the Parliament;
    To cause to be prepared in each financial year, estimates of revenue and expenditure for the next financial year; and
    To make recommendations to Parliament, or with the approval of Parliament, determine the allowances payable and privileges available to the Speaker and Members of Parliament.

Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator will support day-to-day operations and administration of information and Technology Systems of the Institution.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
    Responsible for the installation of ICT hardware and software
    Administer and maintain network infrastructure
    Maintain controls in LAN and WAN infrastructure
    Install and regularly update antivirus software
    Participate in the management of the Data Centre
    Train and support users of Information Technology Systems and hardware
    Carry out regular backups and recovery procedures
    Perform any other duties as delegated by superiors

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
    The applicant should possess an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering from a recognised Institution
    Knowledge of Shell scripting languages such as Power Shell, Bash, PERL, CSCRIPT and Python
    Knowledge in use of LINUX, Windows Operating Systems and application software.
    Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and network problems
    Good working knowledge of Network planning, administration and management
    Knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP
    Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
