About UNABCEC:
Uganda National Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (UNABCEC) is a non-profit, non-political, member-driven association bringing together building and civil engineering contractors as well as construction-related materials manufacturers and/or suppliers to promote their mutual interest. KSK Associates is a Professional Services Firm that provides Financial Consultancy Services including Assurance and Business Advisory Services, Business Planning, Feasibility studies & Project Proposal Preparation, Human Resource, Risk Management and Information System Solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Marketing UNABCEC membership - developing, managing and implementing a strategy
- Developing a UNABCEC Membership offer and ensuring a constant flow of information between UNABCEC and its members.
- Utilising this information to ensure UNABCEC has the most up to date and relevant information on issues affecting Construction and Civil works/members and members have the most up to date/relevant information.
- Jointly deciding, managing and implementing a communication strategy for members ensuring their needs are best met
- Developing the membership and services constantly to meet their needs and ensure UNABCEC is the definitive resource for Construction and Civil works professionals
- Deciding and constantly evolving strategies to best serve and build the membership using a variety of media
- Developing a training programme to meet the needs of the sector and the Association's outputs
- Developing a marketing strategy for training, costing training programme from set budget
- Writing, formatting & reviewing and production of training course materials
- Marketing training programme to maximise exposure to third sector via email/newsletters/UNABCEC website/contacts/members
- Sourcing & costing/purchasing trainers, purchasing venues & services
- Maintain training database of attendees
- Inputting and analysis of training evaluations - feeding back to update/evolve training
- Identify business development opportunities
- Perform any other duties that may be allocated to you from time to time
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
- The applicant should possess at least five years’ proven-experience within a busy environment,
- Experience in managing a member based Organisation.
- Committed to Construction and real estate issues.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Flexible and stress-proof; able to be “on call” as needed.
- Able to work independently while comfortable as part of a national -disciplinary team.
- Be a good team player with good interpersonal, communication and creative thinking skills.
