About Balton:
Balton Uganda Ltd, a subsidiary of Balton CP, the largest agro inputs supplier in Uganda is seeking to strengthen its operations by recruiting suitably qualified candidates for the position above.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the design, installation, testing and maintenance of irrigation systems as per the client requirement.
- Administration of contract specification and quality control.
- Documents and communicates system requirements, system layout, client information in a timely and accurate manner.
- The job holder will be in-charge of maintaining and troubleshooting of simple and moderately complex water supply and irrigations systems as required.
- Overseeing locating, excavating and repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Diagnosis and recommendation for solutions for irrigation problems at client sites.
- Develop departmental budgets & managing the department for growth.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Water Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.
- At least six years’ experience in irrigation system design, installation, maintenance & equipment management.
- Good working knowledge in computer software programs including AUTOCAD, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
- Proven ability to manage job sites and lead a high performance team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
