About RWANU:
Concern Worldwide Uganda is implementing a USAID-funded PL 480 Title II Development Food Aid programme called "Resiliency through Wealth, Agriculture and Nutrition RWANU") in Karamoja. RWANU will focus on two strategic objectives to reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural populations in selected sub-counties in 4 districts of Karamoja: (1) Improved availability and access to food and (2) reduced malnutrition in pregnant and lactating mothers and children under five.

Job Summary:
The Programme Support Officer will support the project team in monitoring and implementing activities through data entry, maintaining databases, translation, record-keeping, and supporting the development of project documentation.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • The Programme Support Officer must possess a bachelor’s degree in either information technology, statistics/epidemiology, demography, social sciences and/or development studies.
  • At least three years' experience with related work in a challenging environment, preferably with an International NGO.
  • The preferred candidate will have a basic understanding of Ngakarimojong and be proficient in English language both oral and written; Additional language skills in Pokot or Kiswahili is preferred.
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook is essential.
  • Working knowledge in using Microsoft Access. Iformbuilder and statistical software.
