PCI is a non-profit health and humanitarian aid organization dedicated to preventing disease, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development worldwide. Currently PCI is implementing a Food for Education program in Musoma Rural and Bunda Districts. PCI i ~ nouncing various vacancies about three

(3) posts; Based in Bunda and Musoma Rural District Councils

Project Concern International (PCI), in partnership with Bunda and Musoma Rural District Councils, is implementing phase II of three-year (2013-2016) Food for Education (FFE2) project in Mara Region funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The goal of the FFE2 program is to increase access to quality primary education among 134 primary and pre-primary schools in Bunda and Musoma Rural Districts.

The project objectives are: (1) To improve access to education by increasing school enrollment and attendance, particularly for girls, through the provision of school-based meals; (2) To improve health in learning environments through the establishment of school health clubs and access to health services, school gardens, and improved access to water and sanitation; (3) To improve the quality of learning environments by improving the textbook-to-student ratio and supporting teacher training in Tanzania's new child centered modified curriculum; (4) To sustain improvements in schools through national, district and community/SChool

mobilization and planning.

Plan, organize and manage all site-level operations through coordination with technical coordinators, and direct supervision of program and administrative staff  in the achievement of PCI program goals and objectives.

Key area of responsibilities:

Represent PCI at the district level and maintain the strong reputation of PCI with GoT officials, partners, and communities in Musoma Rural.

Supervise all site-level program activities (program planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting) through the effective management of program and support staff.

Contribute toward a strong team spirit among staff by modeling and promoting quality leadership and good governance.

Ensure the smooth functioning of the site by coordinating closely with both technical program coordinators, and HR/Admin, Finance, and Commodities and Logistics staff.

Compile and transmit weekly and monthly reports from the Community Mobilizers to the Senior Program Manager (with copy reserved for the Program Officer and relevant technical program Coordinators).

Support the two site-level food monitors in their routine field-level activities.

Ensure compliance and enforcement of all PCI policies and procedures and ensures good stewardship of all site-level assets and resources.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in community or integrated development, public health, social sciences; relevant advanced degree development, or business and administration preferred.

5-8 years' experience in managing development programming, or other relevant senior management experience.

Knowledge and experience in performance based management, and some technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas Primary Education, Agriculture, Health and Nutrition, or WASH.

Substantial experience and knowledge of effective financial management, budget execution, and internal controls. Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team and ability to lead, motivate and develop others. Demonstrated experience interacting with government officials and community-based stakeholders; Excellent project management skills; Strong computer skills (MS Office)
