“Trócaire invitation to tender: Trócaire is seeking tenders to adapt a SASA! Activist Kit for Faith-based Communities. The SASA! approach seeks to demonstrate how understanding power and its effects can help people prevent violence against women and HIV and AIDS and combines working with men and women with a positive, asset building methodology. Trócaire would like to adapt the current SASA! methodology for faith-based communities and develop a practical user-friendly international version for use in faith based Catholic and Christian communities across Africa.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Trócaire Gender Programme Officer in Uganda and will be based in the Trócaire office in Kampala, Uganda.
The work output will be managed by a steering committee comprised of Trócaire and Raising Voices. We are specifically looking for some-one who has knowledge of the Catholic Church, experience of working on violence against women, and experience of working in East Africa.
This piece of work will take place from January 2014 for one year.
